Home and office visits: a sparring partner who comes to you

Yes. Sparring takes place at your home, your office or a quiet place, anywhere within 60 minutes’ drive of Wetzikon, travel included. No practice door, and nobody hears of it. A session lasts 60 minutes, in English or German, usually in the evening. Winn Chelini comes to you for that – in Zürich, on the Gold Coast and in Zug.

Most services of this kind have an address, and you go there. With me it is the other way round. I work from Wetzikon in the Zürcher Oberland and drive to wherever you can speak without being overheard: your home, your office or a quiet place you already know. Why that is, how a visit runs and how far I drive is set out here.

Why is a home visit the most discreet format?

Because there is nothing to see. A practice has an entrance, a nameplate, a waiting room and a calendar with your name in it. Anyone who opens a practice door in Zug’s old town or on Seefeldstrasse can be seen, by a neighbour, a colleague or someone from the school run. A visit to your home has none of that. A guest arrives, a guest leaves.

Then there is what is missing. Nothing is reported to a health insurer, there is no file, and there is no invoice with a diagnosis code. Sparring is not a medical service, and I do not make diagnoses; if your health is the concern, your GP is the right first address. The invoice shows the format and the date, not your topic. And you know the place: you sit in your own chair, not in a stranger’s room. For someone who moved to Switzerland two years ago and still does most of their talking at work, that matters more than it sounds.

Home visits are the exception in this field. Where they exist, it is mostly life coaching, and what the travel costs is rarely stated. For conversations about a company, a family or wealth, with a home visit and travel included, I found no provider in October 2026.

What does a session at your home or office look like in practice?

Before. You write to me through the contact form or call. In the confidential conversation, 20 minutes by phone or video and free of charge, you say briefly what it is about, and we fix a place and a time. You then receive the written agreement with the confidentiality commitment. There is nothing to prepare.

At home. I arrive alone and on time. A room with a door that closes is enough; the kitchen table works too. If your partner is in the house, that is no problem: I speak with you alone.

At the office. Usually in the evening, when the floor has gone quiet, or at a time when nobody asks questions. A meeting room with a glass wall is a poor choice; your own office with the door closed is better. If you work in Cham or Baar and live in Zürich, a quiet hotel lounge halfway works as well.

The session. Sixty minutes, ninety on request: you talk, I listen, ask, tell you what I see, and at the end we note what you will do next (how a session runs). I record nothing; brief notes are destroyed at the latest 12 months after we finish. If you wish, you receive a short written note afterwards, sent only to the address you give me.

After. You receive the invoice, payable within 10 days or by TWINT. Whether there is another session is your decision, each time anew.

What does it cost, and is travel really included?

The fee is fixed and depends on the format and the length of the conversation, never on who you are. I tell you what it is in the confidential conversation – before the first session, not after. A session on site lasts 60 minutes, 90 on request; travel is included anywhere within 60 minutes’ drive of Wetzikon, from Zürich and Winterthur to Zug, Rapperswil and Einsiedeln. You pay the same whether we meet in Zollikon, Baar or Wollerau. Lucerne, Meggen and Hergiswil by arrangement. No VAT is added. An online session also lasts 60 minutes, the 20-minute confidential conversation is free, and an accompanying format over three months is possible. The market comparison is in How much does a sparring partner cost in Switzerland?

Area Places Travel
City of Zürich Seefeld, Enge, Hottingen, Fluntern and every other district included
Gold Coast Zollikon, Zumikon, Küsnacht ZH, Erlenbach, Herrliberg, Meilen, Uetikon am See, Männedorf, Stäfa included
Canton Zug City of Zug, Baar, Cham, Hünenberg, Walchwil and the other municipalities included
Höfe SZ Pfäffikon SZ, Wollerau, Feusisberg included
Winterthur, Rapperswil-Jona, Einsiedeln and every other place within 60 minutes’ drive of Wetzikon included
Lucerne, Meggen, Hergiswil and other places beyond 60 minutes’ drive by arrangement, quoted in advance

From Wetzikon I reach the Gold Coast in about 20 to 25 minutes, Pfäffikon SZ in about 25 to 30 minutes and Zug in about 45 to 50 minutes. My base is therefore usually outside your own circle.

Will anyone know I am working with a sparring partner?

Not from me. I commit in writing to confidentiality, about the content of our conversations and about the fact that we know each other, and the commitment outlasts our work together. It holds towards every third party: family, business partners, employers, HR. Whoever pays the invoice receives no information from the session, even when it is your company. There are three limits: a legally binding order of a court or an authority, acute danger to life or limb, and the welfare of a child, wherever possible after I have spoken with you.

I do not have professional secrecy in the way doctors and lawyers do; my confidentiality rests on our agreement and on Swiss data protection law (Is coaching confidential in Switzerland?). In practice: your assistant sees an appointment, not a reason. A first name is enough for the confidential conversation beforehand. This website sets no cookies and runs no tracking. And unlike coaching arranged through your employer, there is no sponsor, no three-way contract and no report to anyone.

Home, office, walking or online: which fits which question?

Home fits questions that belong there: family and succession, money, a marriage under strain, whether to stay in Switzerland or move back, what comes after an exit. Nobody at the company hears of it.

Office fits questions tied to your role: a co-founder, a key person who is disappointing you, the board. The documents are within reach if you want to show something.

Walking fits when sitting face to face feels too close: along Lake Zurich or Lake Zug, side by side rather than opposite. Same duration, same price as on site.

Online fits when it has to be soon, you are travelling, or it is a follow-up: 60 minutes as well. For a decision with a deadline, a single session is often enough.

Every format is available in English and in German. In Canton Zug, English is the main language of 14.1 percent of residents aged 15 and over, the highest share of any canton; in Canton Zürich it is 10.8 percent (FSO structural survey 2022, published 2024). A visit in Walchwil or Hünenberg can therefore take place in English just as well as in German. Which format suits you is something we settle in the first, confidential conversation.

Common questions about home visits

Do you come early in the morning? As a rule, no. By arrangement: mostly in the evening, on Mondays also during the day, and on Saturdays and Sundays. We agree the exact time in the first, confidential conversation.

We have a dog. Gladly. It can stay, as long as it does not distract you.

My partner is in the house. No problem. I speak with you alone, behind a closed door. If the question is about your relationship, I speak with one side only.

Do you need a parking space? Not outside your door. I park where it is inconspicuous for you, or cover the last stretch on foot or by public transport.

What if I have to cancel? Free of charge up to 24 hours before. For a later cancellation or a no-show I may invoice the session; in case of illness or an emergency we find a solution. Rescheduling is possible at any time, including from on site to online.

In short

I come to your home, your office or a quiet place of your choice anywhere within 60 minutes’ drive of Wetzikon, from Zürich and Winterthur to Zug, Rapperswil and Einsiedeln; you do not walk into a practice. A session on site lasts 60 minutes, travel within that radius included; the fee depends on the format and the length, and I tell you what it is in the first, confidential conversation, before you decide. Nobody hears of it from me, within three limits named in our contract: a court or authority, acute danger to life or limb, the welfare of a child.

If you would like to think this question through with someone who has no stake in it: Winn Chelini, independent confidant and sparring partner in Zürich, on the Gold Coast and in Zug. The first step is a confidential conversation – 20 minutes, by phone or video, free and with no follow-up from my side.

Short answers

Questions on this topic

Do I need to prepare anything for a home visit?

No. A room with two chairs and a door that closes is enough. No questionnaire, no documents, no hospitality. Bring what is on your mind.

Will your visit be noticed by neighbours, reception or my assistant?

I come alone, in a car without a company logo and without a name badge. At reception I announce myself the way you tell me to: as a visitor, under my name, or not at all if you collect me yourself. What you tell third parties about the appointment is up to you.

Can I switch at short notice from home to the office, or to an online session?

Yes. A call or a message is enough. If you switch to an online session, its fee applies, which you know from the first, confidential conversation; the length stays 60 minutes.
